This 1963 BMW 700 is a partially-disassembled cabriolet which was acquired by its current owner seven years ago from a collection in Arkansas. Following time spent in California, the car was relocated to Alabama for refurbishment until owner personal issues paused the work. Finished in orange, the car comes with a non-original 697cc flat-twin and a four-speed manual transaxle. This 700 cabriolet project is offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Alabama on behalf of its current owner with removed parts, a transferable Alabama registration, and clean Arkansas title.

Introduced shortly after the 700 Sport, The 700 cabriolet body was manufactured by Karosserie Baur, with approximately 2,500 models produced. This example received some bodywork and is finished in orange. The front windshield and the convertible framework are retained, as are the bumpers, body trim, and engine lid.

The interior has been stripped with the exception of the upper dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels. The removed interior pieces are shown in the gallery below. VDO instrumentation includes a five-digit odometer showing just over 52k miles, with total mileage unknown.

The 697cc flat-twin was based on the BMW R67 motorcycle engine and produced 32 horsepower when new. The engine is currently removed, and photos of the disassembled unit are provided in the gallery.
